Dr. Meshal bin Fahm Al Sulami, Speaker of the Arab Parliament has welcomed a UN Security Council resolution demanding the halt of settlement activity by Israel on occupied Palestinian territory.
The resolution said Israel's settlements on Palestinian territory occupied since 1967, including East Jerusalem, have "no legal validity".
Al Sulami said that the resolution is a significant step to restore the rights of the oppressed Palestinian people.
He also called on the UN Security Council to put pressure on the Zionist entity to implement this resolution and other UN resolutions until the return of the deprived rights of the Palestinian people and to be able to establish a national state with Jerusalem as its capital.
