Argentina and Ukraine agreed to intensify military ties and expand cooperation on military technology, the Argentine Defense Ministry said.The two countries agreed on Thursday to enhance cooperation in such areas as aviation technology, naval matters and peacekeeping missions, military sources told Xinhua, quoting Defense Minister Arturo Puricelli.The two sides also agreed to work together in training research personnel, developing and maintaining military equipment, and reconstructing defense manufacturing companies.Ukrainian Defense Minister Pavlo Lebediev, who arrived in Argentina on Wednesday and toured a naval industrial complex and a training center for peace-keepers, hailed the agreement as "a very important achievement" for Ukraine.Lebediev proposed a joint working group, set up under the deal, hold its first meeting in Kiev, but he did not give a specific date for the meeting.
