Arrest made of man who allegedly killed boy in crash during chase

A man suspected of killing a Chicago boy as he fled police in a stolen car was arrested Tuesday at a McDonald's in Milwaukee, police said. Rocky Douglas, 34, was in the drive-through lane and was still driving the Honda he allegedly stole in Chicago after the deadly crash Saturday, WBBM-TV in Chicago reported. The FBI was hunting him in Milwaukee after receiving a tip he had gone to the city. Investigators said Douglas paid for his food using a credit card taken in a robbery not far from the restaurant during the weekend. Donovan Turnage, 11, had gone out with his father and brother to get haircuts when their car was hit. Donovan was thrown from the vehicle. His father, Derrick Turnage, said it was a relief to learn fo the arrest. "It was just joy. I can rest now a little bit," he told WBBM. More than 100 people attended a memorial vigil Monday afternoon at Morrill Math and Science Specialty School, the Chicago Tribune reported. Douglas has a lengthy criminal record, police said. Investigators said he was at the wheel of a car he had stolen the day before when he hit the Turnage's Chevrolet Suburban. He allegedly fled the crash scene on foot and carjacked another vehicle nearby. After he broke down on the highway, he stole the 2007 Honda Accord from a Good Samaritan who stopped to help, investigators said.
