
Aswan Governor Magdi Hegazi presided over an expanded meeting of the higher tourism committee on Thursday to probe opportunities to develop the sector in the governorate.
The meeting was attended by representatives of all tourism bodies, including the tourism chamber and the syndicate of tourist guides.
During the meeting, the governor listened to all proposals and demands to improve the tourism sector, especially as regards providing security and safety for tourists, offering logistic support to the sector and enhancing related infrastructure.
Among the proposals referred to the tourism committee were providing incentives for airlines and training for tourism personnel on crises' management, as well as enhancing the level of protection at tourist sites.
