Attacks and fighting in areas of Pakistan resulted in at least 20 deaths, officials reported Monday. Police said gunmen riding motorcycles opened fire during an ambush in the village of Gujrat, killing seven people, including a police officer, Dawn News reported. In the Galju area of the Orakzai agency, eight suspected militants were shot and killed in a clash with security forces, security officials said. They said one soldier was injured in the fighting. Five people were killed when two banned militant groups fought in the Tirah Valley of the Khyber tribal region, Dawn News reported. Also Monday, police said a motorcyclist lobbed a hand grenade at a cellphone store near Karachi's Hyderi market, injuring four people.
