Fresh violence gripped Karachi on Friday after the strike call for Saturday by Sindh nationalist parties, killing at least seven people while 16 vehicles were burnt. The party is observing strike against the abolition of commissionerate system in Sindh. A vehicle was set on fire in Shah Faisal Colony No.1 while miscreants tried to block Shahre Faisal and Tipu Sultan Road by burning tyres. Public transport is absent from the roads and the commuters are facing difficulties in carrying out their day-to-day tasks, Pakistan''s (Geo TV) reported. Police has started search operation in Nazimabad No. 2. According to the police, unidentified armed men shot dead two people in Nazimabad No. 2. The deceased have not been identified yet and their bodies shifted to hospital. In the same area, some unidentified men hurled a hand grenade near hotel, injuring five people. In Pak Colony area, two bodies were found from the car of an unidentified person. Both deceased were shot dead after being abducted. Meanwhile; 16 vehicles were set on fire in various incidents of arson across the city. A man was burnt to death while others sustained injuries as the bus was torched in Kimari area. Police claimed that two alleged culprits of the incident have been arrested. Additional IG Saud Mirza said that police carried out search operation at Bohran Centre in Saddar. He said that several people have been detained during the operation and arms were also recovered from their possessions. Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon said that conducting peaceful protest is ever ones'' right and urged not to make protest violent.
