The Tunisian President Mohamed Moncef Marzouki met here today with HE Qatar’s Attorney General Ali bin Fetais Al-Marri, in his capacity as the UN Assigned Attorney for the recovery of the stolen assets.HE Dr. Al-Marri handed to the Tunisian President a cheque of USD 28,8 million being a part of the assets smuggled from Tunisia to Lebaon, in the presence of the Tunisian ministers of Foreign Affairs, Justice and Finance besides other members of the Tunisian Government.President Marzouki awarded Dr. Al-Marri the First Class Order of the Republic in recognition of his efforts. He expressed gratitude for Qatar’s efforts in recovering Tunisia’s Stolen assets.For his part, HE the Attorney General Dr. Ali bin Fetais Al-Marri said in a speech that he would continue making more efforts for recovering the assets stolen from the Arab Spring countries.The award ceremony was attended by Qatar’s Ambassador to Tunisia Saad bin Nasser Al-Humaidi
