AU expresses concern over Libya situation

Chairperson of the African Union Commission Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma expressed shock and sorrow over violent acts that took place in Tripoli on November 15-16, leaving scores of people dead and injured. Dlamini-Zuma is deeply concerned about the escalation of violence and lack of law enforcement in Libya, read a statement issued by the AU on Sunday. The AU Commission chairperson strongly condemn resorting to violence, said the statement. She also urged all Libyan parties to resolve their differences through dialogue, according to the statement. The AU reiterates support for the Libyan government in realizing stability all over the country, she said. Source: MENA
