Awqaf Minister Mohamed Mokhtar Gomaa urged issuing a United Nations resolution incriminating disdaining religions.
He warned of the dangers of terror which has no religion or homeland and does not differentiate between people.
Addressing the international conference on religions against terror in Astana which started on Tuesday, he reiterated that Egypt under President Abdel Fattah El Sisi seeks to eradicate terror.
He referred to Egypt's document on renouncing terror and racial discrimination and encouraging coexistence and dialogue.
He warned of the intellectual and social dimensions of terror, urging the international community to consider social problems and work on realizing social solidarity, especially in marginalized areas.
He cautioned that some parties cash in on terrorism for political interests and some others manipulate religion for political gains.
He added that allowing those who are not specialized in religion to give fatwas has contributed to the spread of terror.
