The Awqaf Ministry denied Monday that it relinquished part of its property in the Greek island of Thassos .
In a statement, the ministry refuted as "baseless" reports in this regard, making it clear that it did not abandon any of its property in Greece or in any other country.
A high-level delegation of the Awqaf Ministry will visit Greece after Eid ul Adha vacation to study the best investment in its properties and the renovation of its antiquities in the northern city of Kavala and Thassos island, the statement added.
Thassos island is geographically part of the North Aegean Sea, but administratively part of the Kavala regional unit. It is the northernmost Greek island, and 12th largest by area.
