Azerbaijan reaffirms Iran's right to have nuclear energy

Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov on Wednesday reitated Iran's right to have a nuclear program. Talking to the daily Die Welt, Mammadyarov stressed Iran's 'right for the peaceful use of atomic energy under the supervision of the International Atomic Energy Agency.' 'The use of this energy has to be in line with the rules of international law,' he added. A non-permament member in the UN Security Council, Azerbaijan has repeatedly called for a diplomatic settlement of the stalemate over Iran's nuclear program.
