Azhar imam calls on international community to stand against brutal terror

Al Azhar Grand Imam Ahmed el Tayyeb called on the international community to strictly stand against the brutal terror that harmed Arabs and Muslims.
Tayyeb termed terror as a tragedy by all means.
This came Sunday during a meeting with a US delegation of experts in national security and media affairs, led by senior Fox News anchor K.T. McFarland.
Tayyeb reiterated that terror should be eradicated, calling on the international community to stand against it.
Azhar is about to establish a monitoring center in foreign languages to follow up and refute all messages issued by extremist organizations anywhere to attract Muslim youth.
Also, Tayyeb welcomed the US delegation, asserting that Al Azhar works on rectifying misconceptions about Islam.
During the meeting, Tayyeb said that in December Al Azhar held an international conference to spread the moderate teachings of Islam.
On the other hand, the US delegation lauded the role of Al Azhar in facing the extreme thinking and combating terror.
