
Head of the pro-Hariri parliamentarian Block Fouad Siniora, has been at Baabda Palace for deliberations with President Michel Sleiman over major domestic/regional developments. Head of the Union of Arab Bar Association attorney Nuhasd Jabr, met with the president over Arab Bar's opening session under the theme" Foreign interventions and ramifications against the backdrop of international Law and the UN Charter" The president expressed hope for a quick return of authentic democracy to the Arab World preferably under the United Nations' guidance. Leading Muslim scholar of the Body of Learned Muslims Salem Raf'i, presented president Sleiman with a number of demands pertaining to restoring law, order and stability to Tripoli following last month's twin bombings with president Sleiman prodding a heightened sense of awareness and wisdom to ward off looming threats both on the domestic and regional scenes. Raji Hakeem of the Beirut family associations and Hussein Ghandour of the City Souk bureau came over to Baabda on what has been described as a courtesy visit.
