
The head of the Ahrar parliamentary bloc, Bahaa al-Araji discussed with Army Chief of Staff Babaker Zebari and a number of his aides, the current security crisis and the ways to get out of it. A statement to the Ahrar bloc cited that "al-Araji met the Army Chief of Staff, who gave a briefing on the current security crisis. He stressed his and the Ahrar bloc's support to the security services that are fighting terrorism and terrorists. The statement quoted him as saying: "We have many reservations on the security services, but they are doing treendous job, and deserves our full support." He added: "There is a significant exaggeration in the Iraqi street about what exists, and this cause concern and fear among a lot of people."
