The Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday strongly condemned the statements of the Chairman of the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran, Ali Larijani and MP Husain Ali Shahryari in respect to the Kingdom of Bahrain. These Statements represent a flagrant interference in the internal affairs of the Kingdom, and gross violation of its sovereignty and independence, which constitute a completely unacceptable conduct, altogether in form and content, reported the Bahraini news agency BNA. Such statements are in obvious violation of the Charter of the United Nation and the principles of the International Law that govern the relations between and among States and contravene the objectives and principles of the Islamic Cooperation Organization. Consequently, we gravely urge the Islamic Republic of Iran to promptly comply with the International norms and Laws that oblige Iran to respect the principles of good neighbourliness and to refrain from the interference in the internal affairs of other States, said the ministry. While the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reaffirms this stance, it calls on the Islamic Republic of Iran to desist and take immediate steps to prevent the recurrence of such unconstructive statements that are detrimental to the principles of good neighbourliness, and don't express a good faith, or lead to bolstering bilateral relations between the two neighbour countries, and eventually will undermine the security and stability of the region as a whole.
