The Foreign Ministry of the Kingdom of Bahrain has denounced statements made by Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian in the Russian capital, Moscow, on Tuesday, in which he said that Bahrain is using toxic gases. According to Bahrain news agency (BNA), the ministry expressed great surprise for such statements, stressing at the same time that the reform process, led by King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain since 2001 and commended by the International Community, will continue to build a Bahraini community enjoying freedom, democracy and respect of human rights. The ministry also confirmed its firm stance in refusing any intervention in Bahrain’s interior affairs because this represents an infringement of its sovereignty, calling on the Iranian government and its officials to immediately stop releasing such statements and allegations on the internal affairs of Bahrain and to abide by the rules of diplomacy and the principles of good neighborliness.
