The arrest of the members of the terrorist cell, in cooperation with Qatari security bodies, reflects the two countries' solid bonds of fraternity and solidarity, the Foreign Affairs Ministry has stated. In a statement issued today, the Foreign Ministry asserted that the terrorist plot is a living proof of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard's intentions to destabilize the GCC region, in a clear breach of international conventions and the resolutions of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the United Nations. The Foreign Ministry also asserted that such a cell lays bare the Iran-linked terrorist organisations and uncovers their heinous intents to undermine regional and global security and stability, urging peace-loving countries to rally together in order to thwart those threats and terrorist practices. The ministry also slammed the statements made by the Deputy Iranian Foreign Minister Hussein Amir Abdul Lahyan regarding the terrorist cell, stressing that his claims and allegations contravene diplomatic and good neighbourly principles and represent "a blatant interference in the kingdom's domestic affairs."
