Al-Sindi asserted in his speech last night that the Society always aspires to excel in its programs and activities, pointing out that there are increasingly growing numbers of membership applications which attest that the society is proceeding forward in sure steps with determination in order to accomplish what serves the Homeland and the community. Al-Sindi revealed that within the upcoming days, there will be a number of activities and functions, including the Futuristic Volunteer Forum, a Ramadan Iftar banquet for orphans, mid-Ramadan Gergaoon and Eid lunch for elderly people. The Sahab Al-Khair (i.e. Charity Cloud) committee will implement an Eid philanthropic clothing program, and a back-to-school bags' distribution to the needy, adding that the society intends to sign a number of cooperation agreements with a number of Arab and international societies and organizations in order to boost its programs and activities worldwide. From his side, the Secretary-General of the Bahrain Charity Society, Hassan bin Ibrahim Kamal, praised the role of the Bahraini Voluntary Work Society in linking volunteer teams together and shifting voluntary work from impromptu to professionalism in order to move to vaster horizons, modernity and creativity. Kamal added that the society's hosting of its function last night comes under the role of patronizing voluntary and charity organizations in serving the Homeland and citizens, citing the importance of attracting youths to voluntary work in a professional manner and implanting in them the love of the motherland. The eve was shared by the Ata Team, Rifqan-Bihimo Team, Lana-Bussmaton Team and Fursan-ul-Honainiya Team from the Kingdom of Bahrain and Futuristic Shabab, Charity Friends, and the Dhahran Cyclists teams from the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
