The business community today vowed to build on the successful visits of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier to India, Japan and Malaysia. Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chairman Dr. Essam Abdulla Fakhro stressed the importance of following up the results of the Asian tour, citing in this regard the agreements and memoranda of understanding which have been signed during the key visits. “The Chamber will take the initiative and build on the positive results yielded by the visits and activate the business councils with India and Japan in particular”, he said. Dr. Fakhro paid tribute to HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa for his unrelenting efforts to promote Bahrain’s economic and trade relations and project its investment opportunity to the business world. “These visits will contribute to promoting Bahrain’s investment credentials, strong assets and business-friendly environment”, Dr. Fakhro said, stressing the importance of building on the positive results of the visits to bolster Bahrain’s competitiveness and promote its place on the international investment map. He extended thanks to the wise leadership for its efforts to enable the private sector to explore new markets and attract foreign investments. “The efforts undertaken by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa and HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa have ushered in wider horizons for cooperation with all countries in the world”, he said.
