Minister of Culture, Shaikha Mai Bint Mohammed Al Khalifa received Cuban Ambassador to Bahrain, José Enrique Enriquez Rodriguez, in the framework of strengthening the cultural relations, and creating common intellectual and artistic spaces between the two countries. Both sides also aim at forming joint cooperation frameworks, and developing cultural views that can preserve peoples’ cultural and cognitive heritage. The Cuban Ambassador highlighted that selecting Manama as the Capital of Arab Tourism for 2013, is a reinforcement of its ability to achieve the best, and elevate the cultural level to other phases which revitalize the cultural movement in the region. He also pointed out the importance of cooperation and movement of Manama with other cultures and its positive impact on the development in Bahrain. For her part, Minister of Culture expressed her aspiration to provide joint programmes and activities by the two countries, and form intellectual and cultural events which enrich the civilized image of the two countries, highlighting Manama’s responsibility in hosting the various fairs from countries.
