On the sidelines of the 22nd session of the Human Rights Council, held in Geneva from February 25 to March 22, the Bahraini delegation took part today in a discussion session on the right for development. Ambassador Dr. Yussef Abdul Karim Bujiri, gave a statement, on behalf of the Arab Group, in which he hailed the efforts exerted by the UN organisations and agencies to provide economic, social and development support. He hailed the report of the UN Secretary General on the importance of political will in promoting economic, social and cultural rights. He emphasised the need for a fairer international system in distributing wealth among countries and achieving sustainable development.
