Bahraini deputy PM receives citigroup's CEO

On behalf of His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister, Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, today received Citigroup's CEO for Europe, Middle East and Africa, James C. Cowles, in the presence of Bahrain Central Bank's Governor, Rasheed Mohammed Al-Miraj, Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa and Shaikh Khalid bin Ali Al Khalifa. The meeting discussed the Citigroup's investment expansion plans and the development of banking services in the region.Deputy Premier lauded the Citigroup's role in promoting the national economy through its contributions to many investment activities in Bahrain.He stressed the keenness of Bahrain's government, under the leadership of HRH , Prime Minister, Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, about providing an appropriate investment environment for the financial and banking sector to make Bahrain a pioneering regional and international hub for financial and banking services.Citigroup's CEO hailed the support provided by Bahrain's government led by HRH Prime Minister for the financial and banking sector, which has assisted in creating an attractive investment environment, for the economic openness materialized in Bahrain.He emphasized the Citigroup seeks to diversify and expand activities in line with the banking customers' confidence in the Citi Bank.
