
Minister of Foreign Affairs Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, met today at the UN headquarters here his Senegalese counterpart Nankeur Ndiaye, on the sidelines of the 68th session of the UN General Assembly. Shaikh Khalid welcomed the Senegalese Foreign Minister and exchanged with him views on issues of mutual interest as well as the latest regional and global developments. The Minister of Foreign Affairs expressed Bahrain’s appreciation of the efforts of Senegal during its presidency of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, as well as its role within the Arab-African cooperation to achieve the interests of Arab and African countries. He also praised Senegal’s supportive stances towards the Palestinian case, which is considered the focal point of the joint Arab and Islamic work.
