Bahraini king praises Britain's role in maintaining regional security

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received at Al Sakhir Palace today Chief of the Naval staff of the UK's Royal Navy Admiral Sir George Zambellas and his accompanying delegation, currently on a visit to the kingdom.
HM the King welcomed Admiral Sir George Zambellas, and lauded the long-standing cooperation relations with Britain in various fields.
HM King Hamad said that military and defence cooperation between the two countries, "as allies and partners", is progressing steadily.
HM the King underlined the kingdom's keenness to consolidate its ties with Britain, and enhance the level of joint action and coordination with it for sake of meeting the aspirations of the two friendly peoples.
HM the King lauded the "vital" role played by the United Kingdom, along with brotherly countries, in maintaining security and stability in the region, combating terrorism and promoting global peace.
HM King Hamad and Sir George Zambellas also reviewed the outstanding Bahraini-British relations, which, they said, are based on a long history of constructive and fruitful cooperation in various fields.
Chief of the Naval staff of the British Royal Navy expressed sincere thanks and appreciation to HM the King for the constant cooperation between the two countries, especially in the defence fields.
He also lauded the solid deep-rooted relations between the two kingdoms.
