
His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa today received Parliament Chairman Khalifa bin Ahmed Al-Dhahrani and Shura Council President Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh who submitted the legislative reply to the keynote royal address at the inauguration of the fourth session of the third legislative term.Parliament deputy chairmen, Shura Council vice presidents and reply committees members were also present at Sakhir Palace. HM the King commended the crucial role of the legislative branch of government in anchoring democracy, bolstering the parliamentary march and contributing to national development.He hailed the Parliament and the Shura Council for their efforts to cement national unity, promote cohesion among people through fruitful coordination and consultation, advocate citizens' causes and upgrade legislations which reflect Bahrain's standing as a country of law and institutions.He also paid tribute to the Parliament and Shura Council for sparing no efforts to defend national causes in regional and international arenas, projecting the truth and highlighting landmark achievements and successes.HM the King hailed the constructive role of the Parliament and the Shura Council for attending regional, Arab and international conferences and building bridges of cooperation and friendship with brotherly and friendly countries.He stressed the importance of such drive in exchanging expertise, promoting Bahrain's Arab identity and peace-oriented policies. HM the King stressed Bahrain's resolve to pursue the march of reform in all fields and provide premium services for citizens and residents, being a civilised and developed country.He stressed the importance of the coming period in Bahrain, paying tribute to the Parliament and Shura Council for the sound proposals and ideas featuring in the reply to the keynote royal address, wishing them every success.
