
Works, Municipalities and Urban Planning Minister Essam bin Abdulla Khalaf today received a Malaysian delegation led by SIRIM Berhad President and Chief Executive Officer Dato' Dr. Zainal Abidin Mohd Yusof and discussed cooperation to promote an efficient administrative system for assessing construction material and works.
The minister and Dr. Yusof have also signed a memorandum of understanding to bolster joint cooperation. Khalaf hailed steadily-growing bilateral relations bonding Manama and Kuala Lumpur, stressing the importance of the His Majesty the King's visit to Malaysia last year, which boosted joint cooperation. SIRIM Berhad, formerly known as the Standards and Industrial Research Institute of Malaysia (SIRIM), is a wholly-owned company of the Malaysian Government, with over forty years of experience and expertise.
