
The Minister of Health, H.E. Mr. Sadiq bin Abdul-Kareem Al-Shehabi, sent a letter to the CEO of the National Authority for Organizing Health Professions and Services, Dr. Bahaa Fateeha, in which the Minister urged for a speedy completion of investigation procedures by the Investigation Panel formed to investigate into the death of the late child Fatima and to announce the outcome of the probe as soon as possible in order for administrative and legal procedures to be finalized in this regard. In his letter to the CEO of the National Authority for Organizing Health Professions and Services, the Minister of Health wrote: (Referring to the subject of Investigation Panel formed to investigate into the death of child Fatima and on the occasion of the issuance of Resolution No.: 19 for the year 2013 by the National Authority for Organizing Health Professions for the formation of the Investigation Panel on the death of child Fatima at the Salmaniya Medical Complex (SMC); and, in compliance with the directives of HRH the Prime Minister; and, in view of the importance of this matter, please take the necessary in terms of urging the Investigation Panel to complete its procedures as soon as possible and inform us about the outcome of its probe and determining whether a medical error had occurred or not and pinpointing the causer in order for us to finalize administrative and legal procedures in this regard accordingly.
