
Minister of Works Eng. Essam bin Abdulla Khalaf received at his office the Chairman of the Northern Municipal Council and representative to the 8th Constituency Ali Al Jabal, accompanied by representative to the 2nd Constituency Hassan Al Sagheer and representative to the 5th Constituency Nader Yaqoob. Present at the meeting were the Sanitary Engineering Assistant Undersecretary Eng. Khalifa Al Mansoor.The meeting comes upon directives from HRH the Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, urging ministries to communicate and coordinate with Municipal Councils to serve citizens and attend to their needs. The Minister Khalaf stressed that the Ministry of Works is always keen to collaborate with Municipal Councils to serve people through the implementation of various projects in all Governorates in the Kingdom.Mr. Al Jabal highlighted a number of recommendations and requests related to needs at the Northern Governorate, including transforming Buri Roundabout into a traffic signal controlled Interchange, transforming a number of other roundabouts along Budaiya Highway into traffic signals controlled interchanges, expanding Burgerland Roundabout lanes, and paving a number of roads in Bani Jamra, Al Jasra and Sadad, in addition to implementing rain water drainage networks.At the end of the meeting, Al Jabal extended thanks to the Ministry of Works for their constant collaboration and follow-up with Municipal Councils.
