
The Ombudsman, Nawaf Mohammed Al-Ma'awda, received here today the newly-appointed U.S. Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain, William Roebuck.
The Ombudsman welcomed the ambassador's visit which comes as part of constant communication with foreign embassies accredited in Bahrain in order to familiarise them about the Ombudsman's Office and its role in boosting human rights.
Al-Ma'awda briefed the ambassador on the duties of the Ombudsman's Office and its role in monitoring reformation and detention centres, as part of the rights' guarantors provided by the Kingdom to all resident expatriate community members .
The Ombudsman the U.S. Ambassador every success in assuming his duties and boosting the bilateral friendship and cooperation relations.
Deputy Ombudsman Osama Ahmed Al-Asfoor, the Director of International Cooperation and Development Ghada Hameed Habib and the Head of International Cooperation Section Fahad Abdulaziz Al-Binali were also present during the meeting.
