UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon had a phone conversation with each of the newly elected Egyptian President Mohammad Morsi and Field Marshal Hussien Tantawi. A statement released Thursday by the UN secretary - General's spokesperson said that Ban congratulated Morsi for his election-win, wishing all Egyptians would "be able to realize their aspirations for greater democracy, the promotion of human rights, and a more prosperous and stable country."
