The UN Secretary General has come to Palestine to legitimize the continued occupation and colonial rule of Israel over Palestine. On Thursday the 2nd of February he will be in Gaza and has already refused to meet with the families of Palestinian martyrs and prisoners. Who remembers that last year he came to the occupied territories and met with the mother of the Israeli soldier Gilad Schalit? Instead of urging Israel to comply with international law and UN resolutions on Palestine you have come to beg Israel for 'good gestures' toward the Palestinian president. Your acts only feed into the Israeli warmongering against Palestinians. Your acts render the UN which is the highest body of international law in the world meaningless and mere arm of extending colonial rule in the Arab region. Mr. Ban Ki-Moon is not welcome in Palestine, we Palestinian youth tell you to go home and don't meet anyone because perhaps as the saying goes "you can't handle the truth" of the Zionist project in Palestine. Ban Ki-Moon doesn't seem to care that he abuses the powers vested in him as the Secretary General of the UN by sinking low to disgracing international law. At a time when there is immense pressure on the Palestinian presidency to do "land swaps" which are illegal according to the law of occupation, you have come to incite Palestinians on relinquishing more and more of their lands and rights to the powerful Israel. If Mr. Ban Ki-Moon were serious about the quest for peace he should visit Ofer Isreli prison to see how Palestinians are tried unfairly in military courts and he should demand the release of our prisoners including Khader Adnan on who has been on hunger strike for the past 47 days in rejection of the administrative detention policy. We Palestinian youth refuse your pandering to Zionist colonial ambitions in the Arab region.
