commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa today paid an inspection visit to the headquarters of the National Guard where he was welcomed by Staff Director Major-General Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al Khalifa and a number of senior National Guard officers. During the visit, Shaikh Khalifa affirmed that the National Guard's major role in defending the homeland, along with other concerned ministries and security bodies, in line with the sound directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme commander, to provide all needed support for all security and military establishments and their affiliates. He also praised the competence of all the affiliates of the National Guard, led by Commander Lieutenant-General Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa, hailing the National Guard's officers' professionalism, patriotism and major contributions to the efforts to maintain national security and stability. He also expressed sincere appreciation of the efforts exerted by the National Guard's personnel to protect the landmark achievements of the homeland, under the wise leadership of HM the King.
