Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa met here today with the Commander of United States' Central Command (Centcom) General James N Mattis and his accompanying delegation. During the meeting, Shaikh Khalifa asserted the solidity of the Bahrain-US relations, praising the steady growth of bilateral military cooperation. Issues of mutual concern and ways of bolstering military ties between the two friendly countries were also spotlighted. Chief of Staff Major-General Shaikh Daij bin Salman Al Khalifa, Director of BDF's General Command's Court Major-General Yussef Ahmed Al Jalahma, Inspector-General Major-General Abdulla Hassan Al Nuaimi, Director of Planning, Organisation and Technology Rear-Admiral Ahmed Youssef Malallah, Director of Military Cooperation Brigadier-General Shaikh Ahmed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, US Ambassador to Bahrain Thomas Krajeski, Commander of the US Naval Forces Central Commander and the Commander of the Fifth Fleet Vice-Admiral John Miller and a number of senior BDF officers attended the meeting.
