BDF to conduct joint drill in Bahrain

The Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) will conduct on Monday, Jan. 6, a joint drill on its contingency plan for the Bahrain International Airshow (BIAS 2014).The National Guard, Interior Ministry, the Civil Aviation Affairs and Bahrain Airport Company will participate in the exercise, to be held in the Sakhir Airbase and the roads leading to the Military Hospital.The drill, due to take place between 14:00 and 16:00, aims to enhance coordination among all the concerned sides on ways of dealing with all emergencies, and train them on operations to evacuate the injured to the Military Hospital.The General Headquarters of the BDF said it was keen to conduct such a drill for its importance in developing the methods used in enhancing preparedness and coordination among the concerned sides ahead of the event.
