
Belgian Foreign Minister Didier Reynders who paid a two-day visit to Cairo on Thursday and Friday said that return to normalcy in Egypt would take a long time . Reconciliation will be difficult, he told Belgian media on Saturday, adding that it will be a long road before the situation returns to normal. The minister respond to a question about the situation in Europe during the rule of Nazis in Germany, saying he did not go to Egypt to lecture anybody, but to share the European experience in such conflict. Reynders met with his Egyptian counterpart Nabil Fahmy and the Arab League Secretary-General Nabil Al-Araby among others, during his visit. His arrival in Cairo on Thursday came a day after the EU foreign ministers agreed to review Europes economic and security assistance to Egypt.
