
Vice President Joe Biden met late Tuesday with British Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg, discussing a range of bilateral and regional issues including the need to test the possibilities of diplomacy with the new leadership in Iran, said the Office of the Vice President. "On Syria, the two leaders agreed on the need for a strong UN Security Council resolution to ensure that the Assad regime would uphold its commitments on chemical weapons and reinforced US and UK support for a political solution to the conflict in Syria, "the office said.
