Bolivia has seized 104 kg of cocaine in the country's Copacabana border region, the Special Anti- Narcotics Force (FELCN) said Friday. Three suspects have been detained in association with the illegal drugs, which were shipped from Peru and heading for Brazil, the FELCN said, adding that anti-drug operation was carried out between the border towns of Copacabana and Huatajata in the western department of La Paz. Two Bolivians who were aboard the van with the drugs were detained, FELCN Director Gen. Mario Centellas said. The intelligence personnel detained a third suspect who tried to bribe the police in Huatajata, he said. The third suspect was a Peruvian citizen believed to be one of the heads of a drug-trafficking ring operating between the three nations, the official added.
