Norwegian mass killer Anders Behring Breivik will demand he be acquitted when his trial begins next week, his lawyer said on Friday. Geir Lippestad told Norway's Dagbladet newspaper that Breivik was going to “invoke self-defense.” This tactic will not succeed, the lawyer said. “But we are obliged to present his arguments,” he added. Breivik, 33, earlier said he had carried out a “preventive attack on traitors” because the Labor-led coalition government was promoting the “Islamic colonization” of Norway. The latest psychiatric test found him sane.
