On Thursday 31st January, Hebrew-language broadcast said that Britain and France are planning to propose a new political initiative to re-launch the Palestinian-Israeli peace talks. The broadcast also said western sources reported that the initiative would require intervention from the American administration. The sources also said that the two states are trying to involve Germany in this initiative. The western sources suggested the American administration will resume its efforts soon, which means the European initiative would be postponed. The sources believe that the new US Foreign Minister, John Kerry, will work on bringing international officials to the United States to re-launch the peace process and appointing a special envoy for the peace process.
