British hostage confirmed to be released in Yemen

A British hostage has been released following a UAE military intelligence operation in Yemen, UK's Foreign Office announced on Sunday.
The British hostage held in Yemen has been extracted by UAE forces in a military intelligence operation, said Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond.
He added, the British national, an oil industry worker in his 60s, is safe and well, and is receiving support from British government officials. "We are very grateful for the assistance of the UAE."
By far, the name of the worker has not been officially confirmed. But UK media report said, the hostage is Douglas Robert Semple, who was abducted in the east of Yemen in February 2014.
