British MP in row about Nazi stag party won't run in 2015

A member of the British Parliament who helped organize a Nazi-themed bachelor party says he will give up his seat at the 2015 election. Aidan Burley, a Conservative, said in his announcement Wednesday he was having "a difficult time," the Daily Telegraph reported. He did not mention the flap over the party or the finding of a Conservative Party review last month that being involved in it was a "stupid and offensive" action. The stag party was held in France in 2011 with the groom, Mark Fournier, wearing a replica Nazi officer's uniform supplied by Burley. Fournier was fined by French officials for wearing the uniform. Guests at the party reportedly toasted leading Nazi figures. Burley, 35, was elected to Parliament in the Conservative sweep of 2010, representing the Cannock Chase district in Staffordshire. He was dismissed as a private parliamentary secretary in 2010 over the Nazi row.
