
Irfan Akpinar, brother of the abducted Turkish pilot Murat Akpinar in Lebanon, said that Turkey's ambassador in Beirut Inan Ozyildiz called him Saturday morning and informed him about the latest news for his brother and added, "l trust my government and hopefully, we will get a good result." Akpinar spoke to AA correspondent on Saturday after gunmen abducted his brother Murat Akpinar and pilot's assistant Murat Agca in Lebanon's Beirut city on Friday. "We want to hear good news as immediate as possible," said Akpinar. Indicating that Turkey's Ambassador in Beirut Inan Ozyildiz called him on Saturday morning, Akpinar said that Ozyildiz told him that all necessary investigations had been conducted to find Turkish pilot and the assistant pilot. "We trust our government and and hopefully, we will get a good result," Akpinar said. On Friday, a shuttle carrying a Turkish pilot, his assistant pilot, and the crew of the Turkish Airlines plane which flew to Beirut from Istanbul was stopped by four gunmen on the way from airport to the hotel, and gunmen abducted pilot Murat Akpinar and his assistant Murat Agca. A full investigation on the incident is under way.
