Brussels blasts may force Russia to reconsider some priorities

Terrorist attacks in Brussels will cause a major impact on European policies and Russia, too, may have to reconsider a number of its priorities, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said at a meeting with German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier on Wednesday, according to TASS.

"I cannot but say a couple of words about the current situation, especially in the context of yesterday’s (Tuesday) events in Brussels. Certainly, it’s a challenge to the whole civilized world, a barbarous terror act that has shown how vulnerable Europe has become and that mutual understanding is urgently needed among different states in Europe and generally among all responsible states in order to prevent such terror acts in the future and fight the evil that at present manifests itself in international terrorism," Medvedev said.

At least 31 people were killed and over 260 were injured in the explosions that rocked Brussels airport and metro station on Tuesday morning.
