Minister of International Cooperation Sahar Nasr on Tuesday inked an agreement with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in order to complete a five-year Egyptian initiative on integrated development, which commenced in 2012.
The initiative aims at promoting sustainable development and providing thousands of job opportunities in Upper Egypt.
In a press statement on Tuesday, Nasr underscored the importance of the initiative, pointing to its role in providing job opportunities and helping the most needy communities, particularly among women and the youth.
The initiative aims to help more than 15,000 people, either directly or indirectly, via providing new economic opportunities, enhancing abilities and promoting agriculture.
