Cambodian PM meets Vietnamese leaders in Hanoia

Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen met with Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung and General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Nguyen Phu Trong in Vietnam's capital Hanoi on Thursday. Hun Sen said that his visit aimed at promoting traditional friendly relations and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries. The Vietnamese prime minister thanked Hun Sen for choosing Vietnam as the first country to pay an official visit after being re-elected as prime minister. The two leaders expressed determination to bring the Vietnam- Cambodia comprehensive cooperation to a new height in the coming years. Based on the spirit, the two leaders agreed to maintain high- level visits and exchanges between the two countries to further boost cooperation in a variety of fields including border trade, tourism, telecommunication, aviation, banking, oil and gas, industrial and agricultural production, security, and national defense. Vietnam and Cambodia agreed to increase the two-way trade turnover to five billion U.S. dollars in 2015. The two sides also agreed to closely cooperate in fighting against terrorism, transnational crimes, smuggling, drug and human trafficking. In a meeting with General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Nguyen Phu Trong, Hun Sen hoped to exchange and share experience with Vietnam in political reform. Hun Sen is visiting Vietnam from Thursday to Saturday.
