Cambodian PM to visit Vietnam to boost bilateral ties

Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen will pay a three-day official visit to Vietnam from Dec. 26 in order to further enhance ties and cooperation between the two neighbors, according to a news statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Monday. The visit plan came at the invitation of Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung. During the stay, the two prime ministers will hold a bilateral talk and witness the signing ceremony of eight agreements, the statement said. One of the deals is the treaty on extradition between the two neighbors, and the others will focus on the bilateral cooperation in public security, trade, education, and information. Besides, Hun Sen will pay separate courtesy calls on Nguyen Sinh Hung, President of Vietnamese National Assembly, Vietnamese President Truong Tan Sang, and Nguyen Phu Trong, Secretary General of Communist Party of Vietnam.
