Cameron promises to 'beef up' the SAS to take the fight to Daesh

UK Prime Minister David Cameron said the government will buy 20 new drones – known as Protectors – that can target Daesh extremists in Syria and Iraq.

Britain's special forces will be the biggest beneficiaries of the forthcoming defense review as the country prepares to take military action in Syria to help wipe out Daesh, the Prime Minister discloses.

In his first newspaper interview since his election victory, David Cameron pledges to significantly beef up the SAS and double the number of British drones, whose main task is to remotely target Isil jihadists.

The Prime Minister indicates that he wishes to push ahead with a parliamentary vote on British air strikes in Syria and insists that Russian involvement in the civil war should not undermine this country taking part.

Speaking before the Conservative Party conference in Manchester, Cameron makes it clear that he intends to make security - and the defense of Britain - the key issue of the week
