Turkey's President Abdullah Gul welcomed Cameroon President Paul Biya with formal ceremony at the presidential Cankaya Palace on Tuesday. President Gul's spouse Hayrunnisa Gul accompanied Biya's spouse Chantal Biya at the ceremony. Following the ceremony, a memoir photo was taken before the Gate of Honor. Turkey's Deputy Prime Minister Bekir Bozdag and National Defense Minister Ismet Yilmaz attended the ceremony. Following their tete-a-tete meeting, Gul and Biya will appear in a joint press conference. Gul-Biya joint press conference Cameroon's President Paul Biya has congratulated Turkey over its relations with Africa and said, "This relation is based on win-win principle." Turkey's President Abdullah Gul and his Cameroonian counterpart Paul Biya held a joint press conference after their tete-a-tete meeting at the Cankaya Residential Palace in Turkish capital Ankara on Tuesday. Speaking at the press meeting, Biya thanked Gul over his kind invitation and underlined his pleasure with Turkish hospitality given by Turkish people and officials. He reminded Turkish President Gul's visit to Cameroon in March 2010 and said, "Either my visit or President Gul's visit, they give a strong acceleration to the relations between our two countries, which reflects our will." Biya added, in today's meeting, they discussed bilateral relations deeply and signed several agreements in the fields of tourism, diplomacy, defence and energy. "All these are the signs of having a beautiful future in our relations," noted Biya.
