The '12-12 consortium's campaign' in Belgium to raise funds to help the victims of the war in Syria, has already collected over one million euros since the campaign began last Friday. According to Belgian media reports, hundreds of fund-raising events have taken place or are still to take place all over the country. The Platform of Muslim Organisations' internet live stream has raised 17, 000 euro. The live stream is an internet auction in which golden bracelets and wedding dresses are sold. The consortium said that the number of people that have been affected by the conflict in Syria has reached 6.8 million including 3 million children. 1. 4 million Syrians are currently in refugee camps in neighbouring countries.
