Canada rotates its troops against Daesh

One hundred and twenty personnel of Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) on Friday left for the Middle East to help fight against the ISIS targets there, according to the Canadian Ministry of National Defence and the Canadian Armed Forces.
The detachment will replace Canadian troops already stationed in the Middle East engaged in Operation IMPACT, which is the CAF's contribution to the Middle East Stabilization Force -- the military mission of the international coalition against ISIS in Iraq and Syria.
The Canadian government announced last month that the CAF mission was formally extended for up to 12 months and its mission expanded to authorize the conduct of airstrikes against ISIS targets in Syria.
It is reported that there are about 600 CAF personnel deployed in the Middle East region.
